All 98 Cambs neighbourhoods ranked from best to worst Covid rates

Coronavirus rates have dropped in Cambridgeshire as lockdown restrictions ease across England.

Cambridgeshire has seen cases fall by a third since last week, meaning the Covid rate is now 23 – below the UK average of 28.7.

The falling coronavirus rate – expressed as new weekly cases per 100,000 people – means that more than half the county is now virtually ‘Covid-free’.

Of 98 neighbourhoods, 60 recorded fewer than three new cases in the last week.

In Cambridge, which has the county’s lowest Covid rate of 9.6, only Cherry Hinton ward recorded a new case in the last seven days.

It comes after lockdown restrictions were partially lifted in England, with shops, hairdressers and gyms allowed to fully reopen.

Pubs, cafes and restaurants also welcomed back customers outdoors for the first time in months.
