Drink driver screeched around roundabout in front of police

A suspected drink driver was arrested after allegedly screeching around a roundabout right in front of a fully marked police vehicle in Peterborough around midnight.

The incident took place late early Friday morning when police from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Police unit when a vehicle motorist allegedly sped and braked the car screeching the tyres in Peterborough.

The driver was stopped and breathalysed by police and found to be over the legal alcohol limit.

Police tweeted at 12.28am Friday: ” [Driver] Subsequently arrested for drink driving after positive roadside sample.

“Will be charged and bailed to court after a nights sleep in custody.”
