Peterborough will be hosting a number of exciting festivals this summer that you won’t want to miss. From Ibiza raves, orchestra sounds, gin, beer, food and tribute acts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this summer in the city.
With hundreds of festivals taking place across the UK it can be overwhelming to know which one’s to attend but with a number of day festivals taking place in Peterborough it couldn’t be easier to book your tickets and make the most of the city we live in. Plus without the hassle of needing to travel far and with them located in a prime spot in Peterborough we can’t think of a reason not to go.

Here’s a round up of just some of the festivals coming to Peterborough this summer.
The Gin & Rum Festival
Love gin, love rum? Lucky for you a special festival combining the two is making its way to Peterborough Cathedral this summer. Offering over 120 Gins and Rums on the market you’ll be filled with delicious drinks, music and live entertainment in the UK’s largest Gin & Rum Festival.
The Gin & Rum Festival said: “If you’re thirsty for knowledge or just want to party the night away, the Gin & Rum Festival is for you! Discover new favourites with samples from our hand-picked guest distillers, treat yourself at our themed Gin and Rum bars and let your hair down with friends whilst enjoying music from our award-winning DJ and live entertainment”.
With free samples and music throughout the day and night, what more could you want to enjoy in the summer sunshine in the heart of the city. The event will take place on July 22 and 23, tickets are on sale now for £16.56 per person for either Friday evening, Saturday afternoon or evening sessions. You can buy them here.
Sausage and Cider Festival
Another combination that is sure to fill the heart of many Peterborough people is the Sausage and Cider Festival. Not only does it offer delicious food and sweet cider but it will also provide live bands, DJs, entertainment, craft beers, a gin bar, an eating contest, games and much more all on the Embankment.
The event will take place on Friday, July 29 from 6pm until 11pm for an evening that will fill your bellies and soul as you indulge in food and listen to live music in the evening sun. Half-price general admission tickets for £15p per person plus the booking fee are available to buy now.
Peterborough Beer Festival
If you’re more of a beer fan then don’t worry, Peterborough has a festival for you. From August 23 until August 27 you can enjoy a wide variety of ales, cider, perries and wines from all over the country and world at the Peterborough Beer Festival.
Not only this, but there will also be a beer bar and a gin bar which will stock over 50 gins serving classic g&ts to summer gin cocktails. Set up under giant marquees the August weather will not interrupt your plans of sampling some of the best beverages around.
The beer festival is set to be located on the edge of the River Nene, in the heart of the city for many to enjoy. You can attend the beer festival from 5.30pm on August 23 and return or visit another day up until August 27 providing you with lots of chances to enjoy different flavours and tastes in the marquee tents. It may not sound like a typical name for a festival but we can assure you this is one that a vast number of people in Peterborough and beyond will love. Although you may have guessed it from its name, Fake Festival is back again and will be bringing you a day of tribute bands and artists from all your favourites.
Sing along to tribute acts inspired by Queen, Kasabian, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Green Day and the Police in an all-day event hosted in a giant marquee on the Peterborough Embankment. Come rain or shine nothing will get in the way of you singing along and dancing the day away to your favourite songs from the talented tribute acts.
One of the earlier festivals of the year, this event will be held on Saturday, 21 May with a start time of 11.45pm all the way until 11pm. Early bird tickets are available to buy now until April 9 for £32.50 per person for an adult ticket plus booking fees. After this date, the second release tickets will become available at a slightly higher price.
Café Mambo Ibiza ‘Classics On The Embankment’
Although this may not be classed as a ‘festival’ we couldn’t help but include this one. If you’re ready to dance the night away to the sound of Ibiza classics this is the festival for you. Peterborough Embankment will be hosting Café Mambo Ibiza for the first time ever this summer, one of the world’s most iconic dance music institutions.
Café Mambo Ibiza is a well-known event providing a lineup of ‘world class’ DJs for an evening of Ibiza classics. The festival is said to transport you to the island of Ibiza in an evening of “unbeatable vibes”, for a night of music, dance and party in the open-air, waterfront location.
A number of DJs will be taking to the stage to provide a night of pure classics including, Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, Andy Baxter, Julie McKnight, Robin S and Sonique who are just some of the artists already confirmed. Coming to the city on Friday, June 10 tickets are available to buy now for just £33.50 per person plus booking fees from either eventbrite or seetickets. You’ll be transported to Ibiza from 5 pm until 11 pm.
Ibiza Orchestra Live
Not only are we blessed with one Ibiza event this summer in Peterborough but another is getting set to make its way to the city too. This time in the form of an orchestra.
Held on the Embankment, Ibiza Orchestra Live will offer an incredible night of music from the sounds of a live orchestra in a brand new show called ‘Ibiza Anthems Greatest Hits’. More information on the event is set to be released soon.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 30 with a start time of 4pm allowing you to dance until 11pm. You can register for tickets here where they are currently offering half-price general admission for just £22.50 plus booking fees.
