The number of patients who have died after being treated for coronavirus in Cambridgeshire hospitals has reached 477.
The latest figures come as NHS England announced a further 32 people in England, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in the country to 30,471 today (October 11).
Patients were aged between 54 and 100 years old. All but one, who was aged 65, had known underlying health conditions.
No deaths were reported in Cambridgeshire hospitals on March 10.
The number of patient deaths in Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Addenbrooke’s Hospital, has now reached 125 since the start of the pandemic.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust which runs Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital remains the worst affected in our county with 245 deaths.

The total number of deaths is updated daily by NHS England and contains information on the deaths of patients who have died in hospitals in England and either tested positive for Covid-19 or where no positive test result was received for Covid-19, but Covid-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.
