ISO 45001 is an ISO standard for management systems of occupational health and safety. The goal of ISO 45001 is the reduction of occupational injuries and diseases, including promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of workers.
Emma Currie, Kershaw Compliance Manager, said: “We are delighted and extremely proud to have migrated from OHSAS 18001 to the new ISO 45001 standard. Demonstrating top-class health and safety is fundamental to everything we do and is always our number one priority.
“We believe that by migrating over to the new system, we are reaffirming our commitment to our employees, stakeholders, visitors and clients that we are operating to the highest and safest standard possible.”
Kershaw operates a third-party UKAS approved, fully integrated Occupational Health & Safety Management System with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 to provide them with the mechanism to measure, monitor and demonstrate their commitment to continual health and safety performance, along with a framework for setting, and reviewing their health and safety objectives and targets.
