A Mrs Hinch fan has shared a time-saving hack about how to remove limescale from a toilet.
Cleaning the toilet is most likely up there as one of your least favourite chores, so this new trick using a dishwashing tablet will come in handy.
The woman posted on the Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It Facebook page explaining she had tried everything to remove limescale in her toilet left by the previous owners of her home.
She said: “So, today I put two dishwasher tablets in my toilet bowl, as when I moved in I tried for 12 months to get rid of the limescale to no avail.
“It was rancid and it’s now sparkly, thanks to this group.”
When commenters asked more about the tip, the woman replied: “Remove the water and put a small amount in a bowl, then scrub it with the tablet in your hand.
“Then keep wetting it a little and repeat.”
Dishwasher tablets contain different chemicals that are great at softening hard water and tackling stubborn stains.
Another fan shared her way of cleaning her toilet, explaining she puts a large pan of hot water in the toilet and pours in a cheap descaling product that she uses on her coffee machine and kettle.
She then later pours in more hot water to flush it clean.
If you use this trick the fan warned others that the water needs to be hot to remove the limescale, but not boiling because it could damage the toilet.
Mrs Hinch uses a foaming toilet cleaner by brand Dr. Beckmann when she cleans the bathrooms in her Essex home.
She has explained that a foam quickly develops and rises which you then leave it for around 20 minutes before flushing it away.
