No one in Cambridgeshire was given a fine for partying on New Year’s Eve.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary officers were patrolling the county throughout the New Year period to ensure people were following the Covid regulations.
Cambridgeshire enjoyed a quiet nice in, as no fixed penalty notices were handed out on New Year’s Eve.
However, five fines were issued broadly between December 30 and January 3.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson said: “As usual, our officers were out on patrol throughout the New Year period engaging, explaining and encouraging people to follow Covid regulations.
“We continue to work closely with local authority colleagues and urge residents to take personal responsibility to do all they can to help protect themselves and our communities.”
