A terrified mother on a walk with her baby watched as a group set off fireworks in the middle of a Cambridgeshire town centre.
Footage appears to show men shouting in the street before a firework explodes just metres away from the young family – and right in front of a car driving along the road.
The firework produces a bright yellow and red flash, before the street is momentarily filled with smoke.
The dramatic incident is believed to have happened on Church Terrace in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire at around 7.30pm yesterday (November 9).
Ineta Breide Honey, 41, was walking with her three-month old baby boy when she said the hooligans set off the firework just metres away from her.
She told CambridgeshireLive: “I live near this place and almost every evening I hear fireworks.
“Afterwards, the people who did this continued on the opposite side.
“There are CCTV cameras, so I’m wondering why nobody saw it.”
Cambridgeshire Police were contacted for comment.
