Cambridgeshire based full-service agency, The Food Marketing Experts, is celebrating two major award wins which underpin the business’ growing dominance within the food marketing sector.
Yesterday (25th November), Managing Director and Founder Vhari Russell was crowned one of Enterprise Nation’s 2020 Top 10 Advisers and was also awarded the prestigious ‘Above and Beyond’ award for the exceptional support and guidance she has provided during the challenging conditions associated with the global pandemic. The accolade acknowledges Vhari as an unsung hero behind Britain’s booming small business culture within the food and drink category.
Vhari was picked out of hundreds of advisers across the UK, all nominated for their behind-the-scenes guidance to entrepreneurs operating smaller enterprises, for whom, the outbreak of Covid-19 could have signalled the death knell for their business.
The winner of the Above and Beyond award was selected by the panel of five judges, drawn from To Market, BEIS, CMI and the Advertising Association, alongside Emma Jones.
Ann Francke, CEO of CMI said: “The best business advisers don’t just consult on one or two single issues – they develop within the business leader the ability to think strategically and act decisively in the future. We looked for advisers who demonstrated this capability, as well as those who evidenced the impact of their advice in selecting our ten Top Adviser winners.
“We unanimously voted for Vhari Russell as winner of the Above and Beyond award as were particularly impressed with her vital work with a range of smaller brands – helping them to pivot and, in many cases, survive – in the food sector, which is a critical part of Britain’s economy and will play a key part in our financial recovery.”
The Above and Beyond Award follows hot on the heels of The Food Marketing Experts success in early November, at Corporate LiveWire’s Global Awards 2020, where The Food Marketing Experts scooped the sought-after Food Marketing Agency of the Year Award. The awards process invited over 90,000 businesses and corporate professionals, magazine contributors and Corporate LiveWire subscribers to nominate companies & individuals based on factors such as service, innovation, experience, sustainability and other areas. In addition, Corporate LiveWire’s research team identified a selection of company which they felt were deserving of recognition.
Commenting on the awards, Vhari said: “I / we are delighted to have been nominated, to win is just amazing. This year has been a tough one for everyone, this makes all the long nights and weekends working so worthwhile. I love what I do and the industry I work in and the team around me shares the same passion. We are immensely proud of our client base and it is a privilege to work with so many creative and forward-thinking businesses – and to see them thrive thanks in part, to our marketing input.”
